32″ & 42″ Touchscreen Rental and Touch-menu Case Study – NHS Improvement
NHS Improvement support foundation trusts and NHS trusts to give patients consistently safe, high quality, compassionate care within local health systems that are financially sustainable. NHS Improvement run and exhibit at multiple healthcare events throughout the year. They had the idea of renting a touchscreen for their exhibition stand at a national healthcare event. The plan was to be able to show their website and related resources, as well as their Pinterest site.
What was done
We provided a 42″ Touchscreen on a Chief TV Cart stand for their event at Manchester Central Convention Centre. With its integrated dual operating system PC, we were able to use the Android 4.2.2 operating system to display the Pinterest app. Meanwhile the native browser was set up to automatically link to the NHS Improvement website.
The 42″ Touchscreen helped to engage delegates of the healthcare conference, even receiving several complementary comments from other exhibitors. As a result, NHS Improvement decided to continue renting touchscreens for some of their other events. We subsequently provided a 42″ Touchscreen on a stylish Unicol Axia stand. Meanwhile for events with limited exhibition space, we provided a 32″ Touchscreen with a Unicol Lectern stand or Unicol Axia stand.
When using the 32″ Touchscreen, NHS Improvement wanted to display multiple resources and types of content for delegates to browse through. So we created a Touch Menu, so users could seamlessly link to specific website addresses, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and PDF documents. NHS Improvement wanted a Touch Menu that was as simple as possible, so it was easy to use for staff on their exhibition stand and front-line healthcare workers attending the events. Using their layout instructions and branding guidelines, we created a Touch Menu with multiple buttons that brought together various resources and content. This helped increase user engagement and NHS Improvement have gone onto hire touchscreens with a Touch Menu for several more of their events.
