Touchscreen Kiosk for Children Rental Case Study – The Skills Show
The Skills Show is the nation’s largest skills and careers event, held at the NEC, Birmingham. The Skills Show required the rental of a touchscreen kiosk for children. In fact they needed 20! The touhcscreen kiosks would display the show portal, through which visitors could access show information and login to their personalised profile.
What was done
We provided 20 EleKiosks. The EleKiosk’s friendly design, bright colour and height-adjustment feature makes it the perfect touchscreen kiosk for children and young people (as well as adults!). We provided the touchscreen kiosks in pearlescent magenta and blue. We delivered the touchscreen kiosks to the event, connected them to the venue WiFi and set everything up on the day.
We also provided content control kiosk software, so users couldn’t access the PC desktop or other websites. This was vital for a touchscreen kiosk for children. The kiosk software was configured to timeout and reload the homepage after 2 minutes. It automatically deleted the cache, logging out the last user so the next user could not login as a previous user. The touchscreen kiosk for children only had to be switched on for them to work; no other set-up was required. At the end of the rental period we collected the touchscreen kiosks from the event.
The touchscreen kiosk for children was a great addition to the event. With their child-friendly design, the kiosks really looked the part and increased visitor engagement.
